Notice of Master's Comprehensive Examination in Counseling: Spring 2026
The Spring 2026 Master's Comprehensive Examination in Counseling is scheduled as follows.
Please review the eligibility and procedures carefully to ensure a successful application.
1. Eligibility and Examination Subjects
- Eligible Applicants: Students in the Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology program who have completed at least
TWO (2) semesters of coursework.
- Examination Subjects: To Be Announcedon May 15(Friday).
* Note: Subjects are subject to change based on the Faculty Council’s decision.
2. Key Dates and Schedule
- Application Period: May 8 - May 15 , 2026
- Release of Study Guide/Example Questions: May 15 or 18, 2026
- Examination Date: June 19, 2026 (Friday), 2hours per subject
* Venue: To Be Announced (Individual notifications will be sent)
3. Examination Format and Passing Criteria
- Format: Closed-book, handwritten (pen) paper examination.
- Prohibited Items: Use of textbooks, reference materials, or electronic devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
- Question Bank: Final exam questions will be selected from the provided example questions to suppoet your preparation.
- Passing Score: A minimum score of 70 out of 100 per subject is required to pass.
4. Registration and Payment Details
Step 1: Submission of Application via Email
1) Submission Email: higs@shyu.ac.kr
2) Required Information: Full Name & Student ID, List of subjects you are applying for, Proof of payment (Attached as a screenshot or PDF receipt)
Step 2:Payment of Examination Fee
1) Fee: 10,000KRW per subject(e.g., 20,000KRW for 2 subjects)
2) Bank Account: Kookmin Bank (KB), 538801-01-377078
3) Account Holder: 서울한영대학교 (Seoul Hanyoung University)
5. Important Reminders
- Please ensure the email subject line is formatted as: [Comp Exam Application] Name / Student ID.
